What´s new in Brazil mission with the Chevys?

2 and a half weeks left.
- Gave 5 classes in 3 seminaries with about 60 students in years 2 to 4. It was super to get back into the teaching role! Lots of impartation happened. Pr. Fernando responsible for giving us the opportunity.
- Pr. Gabriel is continuing in his deliverance from depression. He just bought a flight to visit relatives in December and got blood work done for his forthcoming cataract operation – all of these events he would not have been doing if it wasn´t for the Holy Spirit´s intervention.
- His sweet wife, Daniela, (previous pre-school teacher with the Heliopolis Project), was also healed of back problems. She has 2 small boys to watch after and needs a strong body.
- Chevy is preparing to give 2 more sermons to the brethren here. They are hungry and thirsty!
- Next Wed. and Thurs. we drive to Rio de Janeiro with Pr. Fernando and Zenilda to promote the CARS course material to the Brazilian Baptist Convention. We desperately need their help to publish the 10 manuals which are now ready.
-The next two weeks will be filled with meetings, visits, strategy planning for 2011, financal and budget concerns, graduation of the 2010 CARS students.

Oct. 20 – Chevys leave for Brazil mission trip

Wed. is the day we leave for Sao Paulo – our visas are ready, so are the tickets. Need to pack but tha’s not done till last evening. I think we can leave at a moments notice – We have done it so often.

Some things we are called to do: mentor IRSA (The Social Responsibility Institute of the Americas); help vision cast for the further development of the courses which have already been tested and are in process of being published; church visits to the projects already on stream in the most at-risk areas of Sao Paulo city; promotion re on-going financial support; teaching Spiritual Warfare courses – etc. etc. Oh, and this time we want to have at least one visit to the beautiful Brazil beaches located 1 hour from the city of Sao Paulo down a very scenic tunneled highway.

Latest has it that we will have a total 5 month wait from when we started the process, from Revenue Canada. Could it be by the end of this year? Hope and pray!!!
